Winnie and Robin
Two senior golden retriever mixes, nicknamed by Atlanta Lab Rescue as ‘the Golden Girls’, were picked up as strays in bad shape. ALR named them Winnie and Robin. Both girls were able to receive treatment, thanks to funding from Grey Muzzle, to help eliminate their heartworms and keep them comfortable in their foster home.

Margot
Originally estimated to be 12 years old, Margot came into the care of our friends at Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue, missing most of her fur and suffering from a fractured shoulder. She was placed in a foster home, where she started treatments to clear up her skin and fur, then had an x-ray of her shoulder sent to specialists. A grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization (funded by your generosity!) helped cover these costs so Margot could begin to heal.

Grey Muzzle Ends Fiscal Year On a High!
The Grey Muzzle Organization’s Spring/Summer 2014 Grant Cycle was a great success! It proved to be our largest grant cycle to date, providing $69,500 in grants to 24 organizations. Of these grantees, 9 were new, 15 were approved for renewal and we’ve added two new states to our grantee list – Hawaii and Kentucky!

Thirteen-year-old Sir Bear arrived at Indianapolis Animal Care Services after his previous family had to move and could not find pet-friendly housing. Upon arrival, Paisley enjoyed a ‘spa day’ thanks to a wonderful groomer who donates her services.
