Grey Muzzle Ends Fiscal Year On a High!

It’s been a year of expansion and excitement at The Grey Muzzle Organization and we are incredibly grateful for your support.

The Grey Muzzle Organization’s Spring/Summer 2014 Grant Cycle was a great success!  It proved to be our largest grant cycle to date, providing $69,500 in grants to 24 organizations.  Of these grantees, 9 were new, 15 were approved for renewal and we’ve added two new states to our grantee list – Hawaii and Kentucky!

Over the next few months, we will be fundraising and gearing up for our next grant cycle – Fall/Winter 2014 - where funds will be awarded in December.  We do not have an endowment and all grant funds are raised from public donations.

I am proud that this all-volunteer organization has achieved remarkable growth through a genuine commitment to supporting places of love, peace and security for senior dogs.  Our dedicated volunteers keep our overhead costs low, which meant that our financial year ended at June 30, 2014 with a program ratio of 89% (89c of every dollar donated went directly to senior dog programs to help dogs like Minnie (pictured), helped by Fairy Tail Endings).

Please help us continue this work by donating, volunteering or letting others know about us and what we do for old dogs.
