    How Grey Muzzle Helped
Keeping senior pets in homes grant

Luna's owner was worried. The 8-year-old pup was having trouble keeping food down. A trip to the emergency vet revealed that she was suffering from a pyometra, a potentially deadly infection in her uterus. She needed surgery to save her life, but the estimate at the emergency hospital was more than her owner's finances could bear. Luna's owner turned to Second Chance for help.

Second Chance Animal Services provides subsidized medical care for pets in underserved communities all over Massachusetts through their Community Veterinary Hospitals. Their grant program with Grey Muzzle focuses on keeping pets in their homes. The staff at Second Chance jumped at the chance to provide Luna with the medical care she desperately needed AND help her stay with the family that loves her!

Luna's story is the perfect example of how your generosity can literally save lives and prevent heartache. Thank you today, tomorrow, and every day for your support.
