Teddy
Teddy, an adorable 11-year-old Corgi, spent a great deal of his life in a puppy mill. He was rescued as a young adult and found a wonderful forever home.
As he grew old with his family, he developed several routine, age-related issues. Last fall around Thanksgiving, his owner noticed a mass deep in his breeches (Corgi speak for the fluffy fur on their rear ends). Thanks to a grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization, Fort Valley State University was able to take Teddy in as a patient and perform his diagnostics and mass removal.
The tumor turned out to be cancerous, but they got all of it and now his prognosis is great.
Thanks for giving senior dogs like Teddy a new leash on life.
