Senior's Pet Assistance Network (SPAN) is a Dallas County-based nonprofit with a heartfelt mission: to support the joyful, lifelong bond between low-income seniors and their beloved pets. For many of the seniors we serve—aged 67 and up—their pets are not just companions, but lifelines. We help keep those bonds strong by providing ongoing pet food and essential veterinary care, ensuring that no one has to choose between their own needs and the health of their furry friend.

With help from Grey Muzzle, we’re able to focus even more deeply on our senior dogs, like sweet Tank. Nearly 70% of the pets in our program are seniors, and this funding allows us to provide tailored support, including senior exams, dental care, blood panels, and medications for age-related conditions. Together, we’re making sure that both ends of the leash stay healthy, happy, and together for life.
