The Rescued Rescuers, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 organization located in the Panhandle of Florida that exists for the sole purpose of rescuing unwanted dachshunds and other small breeds in need.  Since 2011, our mission has been to serve the Panhandle area of Florida by rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing unwanted dogs. The focus of our efforts is to assist dogs in need and restore health by providing any vetting these dogs may require, including having them spayed and neutered; to rehabilitate those unwanted dogs that need confidence-building and training; and to acquire quality permanent, loving homes for the placement of these unwanted dogs. Our efforts are primarily focused on the care and needs of these dogs, but we also work to educate the public on the importance of adopting rescue dogs as opposed to purchasing dogs.

Thanks to this Grey Muzzle grant, veterinary care for 30 senior dogs (spay/neuter, dentals, vaccinations and any other required treatments such as heartworm, spinal surgery and holistic, where appropriate) will be provided and adoption fees will be reduced for senior adopters making this grant a win-win for older dogs and their older humans.
