A Doggie 4 YouFunded in 2024
A Doggie 4 You promotes spay/neutering of pets, transfers dogs from overcrowded shelters, rescues dogs from unsafe environments, and rehabilitates and rehomes them to loving homes. Located on a ranch in the Texas Hill Country, it is a volunteer-run organization committed to annually placing hundreds of dogs in their best forever homes. In 2022, A Doggie 4 You began partnering with Warriors Heart, providing homeless dogs to train as certified PTSD service dogs for first responders and military veterans.
The Grey Muzzle grant will help launch a seniors-for-seniors dog foster program in collaboration with the Silver Sage Community Center. The grant funds will cover senior dogs’ food, vaccinations, and medications. They will also be used for specialty surgery—such as eye or limb removal—to improve quality of life. During their golden years, the Grey Muzzle grant will help senior dogs like Cane live their best lives while awaiting a new home.
