Pet Prevent a Litter (PALS) of Central Texas is a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to reducing pet overpopulation and homelessness through education, low-cost veterinary care, and support services. From spay/neuter and microchipping to TNRM efforts and a pet food pantry, we’re committed to creating a healthier, safer future for pets and the people who love them, especially those in underserved communities.
Our senior dog program works to keep ageing dogs out of shelters and in the loving homes they know. With help from the Grey Muzzle grant, we provide veterinary care, resources, and compassionate guidance to pet owners facing tough choices. By stepping in before surrender feels like the only option, we can help families stay together and improve outcomes for senior dogs who do need placement through the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter.
