Pet Project For PetsFunded in 2025
Founded in 2002, The Pet Project for Pets is a South Florida nonprofit committed to keeping people and their pets together. Serving low-income seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those facing life-threatening illnesses, we provide pet food, supplies, wellness care, and emergency medical support to help families stay whole. With over 2,000 pets currently in our care across Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, we’re proud to be South Florida’s largest Pet Retention organization.
Thanks to this Grey Muzzle grant, the Senior Paws Program will rescue senior dogs at risk of euthanasia and place them into loving forever homes. Each dog becomes a permanent member of The Pet Project family, receiving lifetime food, supplies, and veterinary care. With 40–45 senior dogs adopted each year, this program offers second chances to seniors who need them most and brings comfort and companionship to the people who welcome them home.
