Home Fur Good Animal Rescue and Placement’s mission is to eliminate the euthanasia of treatable, adoptable cats and dogs in Maricopa County through placements, medical treatment, training to correct behavioral issues, promotion of spay/neuter, and increased community awareness. They are celebrating 15 years of operation this year, with over 7,000 cats and dogs rescued since inception!

Funds from The Grey Muzzle Organization will increase the number of senior dogs Home Fur Good takes in. The grant will defray medical costs associated with older dogs, such as dental care, senior blood work, and tumor removal. Funds will also help to promote the adoption of senior dogs through a permanent foster placement program. Overlooked seniors like Serena, who has been at the local shelter for over 12 months, will be placed in loving, caring homes for the remainder of their years. The fosters provide plenty of love and attention, while HFG retains medical decision-making and responsibility for medical care.
