Pooky was one of 13 small senior dogs surrendered after their owner tragically passed away from Covid-19. Because of Grey Muzzle's continued investment in the senior "ISO" dog program, which focuses on helping dogs in Chicago's most heavily populated, open-admission shelters, One Tail at a Time was able to rescue all 13 seniors and place them in a loving foster home.

This teeny chihuahua with just three teeth got to join a home with two OTAT alumni chihuahuas, Cheeto and Gopher, who helped her come out of her shell. Pooky blossomed with confidence, and it wasn't long before her perfect match came along. She was adopted, and within a few days was doing "big brave things" like jumping into her favorite velvet chair and going on walks. It’s safe to say she has a new lease on life!
