Leah and Jayde arrived at PAWS Connecticut together after their owner went into a long term care facility. The sisters had been bounced around with family members and finally ended up at the shelter. Leah, a nine-year-old Yorkshire Terrier mix, and Jayde, a 12-year-old Yorkiepoo, both had a few medical needs to attend to before they were ready to find their forever home. Leah had multiple mammary tumors that were successfully removed and found to be benign. Jayde needed a comprehensive dental. It was clear from the start that both gals are sweethearts, but they were more comfortable and fun-loving after getting their medical tune-ups. They clearly felt much better!
Thankfully, they were adopted together! Leah and Jayde are getting lots of attention and living out their retirement years in a loving home. Thanks to a Grey Muzzle grant, their adoption fees were waived and they are allowed free annual wellness exams at PAWS for the rest of their lives.
