    How Grey Muzzle Helped
    Medical Expense Grant

Before being brought to the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA (CASPCA), Cleo was used for breeding and spent her whole life chained outside.

Despite not being cared for most of her life, Cleo is the sweetest dog. She is so full of life and wants to be loved and give love. Cleo loves toys, car rides, hikes, rivers, and cuddles. She will sit like a good girl when she knows there is a treat involved. Cleo does have a little bit of anxiety when she is left alone, but who doesn’t these days?

A Grey Muzzle grant gave CASPCA the ability to provide for Cleo's veterinary needs. Not surprisingly, she needed to be treated for internal and external parasites as well as itchy skin. Cleo has made a lot of improvements during her stay in a foster home. CASPCA says, “it’s wonderful to be able to provide this almost 11-year-old girl the time and resources she needed to heal.”

Cleo is looking for just the right person to fall in love with her. This  beautiful, silly, senior dog deserves the best of everything.
