Charlie Brown, a sweet, nine-year-old hound mix, came to our grantee Pawmetto Lifeline in South Carolina because his owner could no longer care for him. He had been kept as a strictly outdoor dog and, sadly, tested positive for heartworm disease. He also had a large mass on his shoulder that needed to be removed.

With time, TLC and a Grey Muzzle grant, Charlie Brown got all the care he needed. He successfully completed heartworm treatment and his mass turned out to be a benign cyst. The removal actually proved to be curative--Charlie Brown is feeling so much better! He’s in his best, tip-top adoption shape and is still patiently waiting for his forever home.

He is very laid back and can seem reluctant to engage with people at first until he sniffs around and feels comfortable. He comes when his name is called and is incredibly gentle. Please contact Pawmetto Lifeline if you’re interested in learning more about Charlie Brown.
