Sometimes, pets and their people need a little extra help. Jessica brought Ruby, her 10-year-old Puggle, to the Kentucky Humane Society’s Healthy Pets Clinic for vaccines.

Meechi, a loving and shy female medium-size mixed breed, came to Animal Rescue, Inc. as an owner surrender through their Crisis Intervention Program, which provides supportive services to pet owners and their pets in times of hardship.

Bruno Mars is an 11-year-old poodle mix who arrived to the Cumberland County SPCA as a stray. They did some tracking based on his tag, and it seems that he made it to their shelter all the way from Puerto Rico!

Jack is an eight-year-old chihuahua mix whose owner passed away, leaving his elderly mother to care for Jack. Unfortunately, he was often kept in the bathroom of the home as the mother was overwhelmed by everything, including his care.

Goliath is a nine-year-old pit bull mix who lives with his human Gricel, a woman with disabilities.

Jackie came to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) when her owner was moving and could not take Jackie along. She is a beagle mix and about nine years old, and even though she has quite a lot of health issues, you'd never know it if you met her.
