Some matches are just meant to be—like Ted and his new dad! After being found as a stray and spending two months at The Jacksonville Humane Society, Ted was starting to grow anxious. But everything changed when an older gentleman walked through the doors, searching for a companion. Concerned that his cane might make it difficult to find the right dog, he was relieved to meet Ted, who walked gently by his side. It was a perfect match!

With the help of a Grey Muzzle grant supporting JHS’s Seniors for Seniors program, Ted received the medical care he needed and had his adoption fee waived, ensuring he could start his next chapter with his loving new dad. Now, Ted is living his best life—soaking up car rides with his head out the window and enjoying every moment in his forever home.
