At 10 years old, Petunia’s future was uncertain. Her devoted dad, facing personal challenges, realized he could no longer provide the care she needed. Wanting the best for her, he turned to a trusted veterinary clinic for guidance. That’s when Lionel's Legacystepped in, ensuring Petunia had the chance to find a loving new home.

With support from a Grey Muzzle grant, Petunia received much-needed dental care at Lionel’s Legacy’s Free to Chew low-cost dental clinic. After her procedure—which included multiple extractions—this little Shih Tzu mix perked up, started running around, and even found joy in playing with toys again! 

Petunia’s dad was deeply grateful for the kindness shown to his beloved companion. He even visited her in the weeks that followed, bringing treats and sharing his love.
