Milton
Milton and his wiggly butt had been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for two whole months. A ten-year-old pittie with a heart murmur, Milton quickly became a volunteer favorite at the shelter and had many wonderful pals rooting for his rescue. Because of his age and heart condition, he was deemed "Rescue Only" by the shelter.
When One Tail at a Time first met Milton in person, he was sleeping soundly next to an empty peanut butter kong, right in the middle of a room echoing and physically shaking with barks. They learned pretty quickly that Milton was completely deaf, which only added to his charm and convinced them that he HAD to join the One Tail family.
With a committed foster home and support from The Grey Muzzle Organization, One Tail was able to welcome Milton into their adoption program, have him evaluated by a cardiologist, and provide surgery to remove large masses on his hip.
Milton got all the care he needed thanks to a Grey Muzzle grant and One Tail’s loving care and is still recuperating in his foster home.
