When sweet senior Basset Hound Madison arrived at the shelter, she was emaciated, flea-infested, and suffering from kidney disease, infections, and severe dental issues that left her unable to eat. But thanks to GABR - Guardian Angel Basset Rescue and a Grey Muzzle grant, Madison got the second chance she so desperately needed.
With expert medical care, a special diet, and a whole lot of love, Madison slowly regained her strength. She discovered the joy of toys, companionship, and—most importantly—a family that cherishes her. Her foster family fell head over heels and knew they couldn’t let her go. Now a beloved permanent family fixture, Madison spends her golden years enjoying soft beds, morning wake-up calls for her human brother, and joyful reunions when her foster dad comes home from work.
