For Luna and her dad, home is wherever they’re together. But when life took an unexpected turn, Luna’s devoted owner—a veteran—needed emergent, temporary shelter and resources to get back on his feet. That meant finding a safe place for Luna, too.
Through Found House Pet Support Program, and with the support of a Grey Muzzle grant, Luna received the shelter and care she needed—including treatment for skin issues and a much-needed haircut—while her dad worked toward securing stable, pet-friendly housing. Thanks to their help and foster network, Luna remained safe and loved while waiting patiently to be reunited with her dad.
No one should have to choose between shelter and the pet they love. Keeping senior dogs with the families who cherish them is at the heart of what we do—and thanks to our donors and grant partners, stories like this are possible.
