Lana
Lana is a very sweet ten-year-old boxer who wound up at Prairie Paws Animal Shelter (PPAS) as a stray. Her main goal in life is to cuddle as much as possible, so the staff knew that after a tune-up, she'd be ready for a forever home quickly.
Thanks to a grant from Grey Muzzle, Lana received a complete dental and senior blood work panel. During all of her exams, it was discovered that Lana has multiple lipomas, which are very common in boxer breeds, and was heartworm positive. But guess what? This old gal completed her treatment and went onto find her loving, forever home.
Now, Lana is spending her golden years as every senior dog should: with the people who love her most. Let's give the gift of family to more senior dogs in need.
