Lacy

Lacy is about ten years old and a Terrier mix. She’s a sweet, senior girl who needed a tune up. Other than that, not much was known about Lacy when she was transferred to the Humane Society of Charlotte (HSC) from the local municipal shelter. The HSC veterinary team found that Lacy had untreated dental disease, lenticular sclerosis (haze that develops in the lens of the eye in middle-aged and senior dogs), and terribly matted fur on her lower hind limbs. After having her medical concerns addressed at HSC and a thorough grooming, Lacy was made available for adoption with a medical voucher to help cover the cost of her dental treatment.

The medical voucher, which was made possible by a grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization, incentivized her adoption and Lacy found a home within three days! Lacy received a dental a few days after getting settled in with her new family and is now sporting a healthy smile in her new home! HSC might not have known much about Lacy’s past, but they know now that she’s living the good life in her loving, forever home.
