Ernest
Ernest came to Oshkosh Area Humane Society (OAHS) in Wisconsin as a stray. The staff was immediately smitten with his sweet personality and happy-go-lucky attitude.
When this nine-year-old hound arrived at OAHS, he had horribly infected ears that were obviously causing him pain. Thanks to the grant from Grey Muzzle to help prepare senior dogs for adoption, Ernest got the antibiotics and ear medications he needed--his ears were so bad, they actually required multiple courses of various treatments!
Ernest waited at OAHS for a little more than two months before his forever family discovered him, but what a wonderful meeting it was! His family not only has two other dogs, but a pig named Charlie. Ernest met all of them and it was an instant love connection.
