At 10 years old, blind Bessie, arrived at Marion County Animal Services as a stray in urgent need of care. Suffering from painful glaucoma and requiring extensive dental work, her future seemed uncertain. With the help of Grey Muzzle, Poodle and Pooch Rescue of Florida stepped in to provide her with the care she needed.
After a successful recovery in foster care, Bessie found her forever home with Cheryl, a kindhearted adopter who cares for special-needs seniors at her “Little Dog Ranch.” Cheryl shared that Bessie fit in immediately and wasted no time in claiming a big oversized chair as her new bed. In addition to her chosen sleeping arrangements, Bessie now has a spacious fenced yard to explore, all the scrumptious food she desires, and a human who loves her dearly!
