Sherman 8 YRS
Sweet senior hound Sherman arrived at Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville, NC with an unknown history and various health issues. It was obvious to staff that Sherman had suffered severe neglect.
He was underweight, heartworm positive, had chipped teeth, and quite a few masses on his legs and sides. Brother Wolf uses funds from a Grey Muzzle grant to provide veterinary care and testing to senior dogs at their shelter. The medical team immediately started Sherman on a healthy re-feeding plan, provided heartworm treatment, and checked his teeth and masses.
Low-key and goofy, Sherman quickly became a staff and volunteer favorite. He finished his heartworm treatment like a champ, celebrated a birthday, and was soon adopted by a hound-lover. We are so excited to report that Sherman will spend his golden years living a pampered life!
Sherman's happy tail was made possible in part by your continued generosity and support of our mission! We believe that senior dogs everywhere should be able to thrive in health and happiness with families who love them.
