Baron

Beautiful Baron suffered eight years of neglect and cruelty before being seized by the authorities. When he came to Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies (GRRR), he had lacerations on his neck, back and stomach along with severe ear infections, cysts and lumps. His untreated thyroid problems resulted in a thin, brittle coat and bald patches on his tail, and excess weight and arthritis slowed him down.

With help from a Grey Muzzle medical grant, Baron received critical veterinary treatment. On a healthy diet and with lots of attention and walks with GRRR volunteers, he began to show a new love for life. He learned to play with toys, enjoy people and display his natural tendency toward goofy antics.

Baron has been happily adopted, losing 24 pounds and acting like a true jumping jack on his daily runs.
