Spring News and Notes On New Ways You Can Help Senior Dogs In Need

In celebration of Volunteer Appreciation Week, April 21-27, 2013, I want to personally thank all of The Grey Muzzle Organization’s wonderful and dedicated volunteers.

We could not provide care and assistance to so many senior dogs without your hard work, support, and tireless efforts in raising awareness.

A special thank you to returning members of our volunteer Board of Directors: Grey Muzzle Founder Julie Dudley, ReneĂ© Boothroyd, Grants Committee Chair; and Chandra Conway, Marketing and Public Relations Committee Chair. I’d also like to welcome new board members: Heather Mailler, Volunteer Committee Chair; Maria Stoerrle, Education and Outreach Committee Chair; and Krystal Joscelyne, Treasurer. Your expertise and commitment is key to the success of our organization.

I am already seeing growth and great promise for Grey Muzzle in 2013. We recently received our largest individual donation to date – $16,000 from Barbara in Illinois. To enhance our revenue stream, we’ve added three new business partnerships: Hale Pet Doors, Vehicles for Charity, and Cru Vin Dogs Wine. Each is participating in a generous donation program, making it easier (and fun!) for the public to contribute to Grey Muzzle.

In January 2013, Grey Muzzle awarded $24,000 in new grants to rescues and shelters across the United States. Our next grant period is in June and we continue to make great strides as we work to accomplish our mission: To enable all senior dogs to live out their golden years in a place of love, security, and peace.

    Sincerely,
    Jennifer Kachnic, President
