Medical advances are helping pets live longer and healthier lives. At the same time, the reputation of the veterinary profession is declining. Dr. Wolchinsky will address why this shift is occurring in such a respected field, explore the medical and technological advances that have improved our pets' lives, and discuss the impact of the corporatization of veterinary medicine.

Dr. Wolchinsky has worked at Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital in Laurel, MD since 1987. He enjoys all aspects of canine and feline medicine but has special interests in internal medicine, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, and many other cutting-edge advances. In 2017, Dr. Wolchinsky received Boehringer Ingelheim's first VETMEDIN Cardiology Pioneer Award in recognition of all the veterinarians and specialists who care for dogs with congestive heart failure (CHF) and help those dogs have the opportunity for better days and longer lives. Dr. Wolchinsky is the Laurel City Veterinarian as well as an Advisory Board Member for Grey Muzzle.
