KodiakCare saves dogs by funding critical veterinary care to families lacking financial means. They partner with animal hospitals to help families avoid the heartbreaking and tragic decision of surrendering or euthanizing their dog simply because they can’t afford medical treatment. With KodiakCare’s help, families can get their dogs the care they need and bring their beloved pets back home. KodiakCare works with large non-profit veterinary hospitals in eight metropolitan areas across the United States.

Funding from The Grey Muzzle Organization will save senior dogs needing life-saving medical care beyond their family’s means. KodiakCare knows that the best place for a dog, especially a senior dog, is with their family, and finances should not be a barrier. The grant will help dogs like Daisy, a 12-year-old basset hound, who had pyometra, a life-threatening uterus infection, and needed surgery that her owner could not afford. KodiakCare stepped in and helped get Daisy the life-saving care she needed so that she could return home to her loving family.Â
