Tasha
Tasha was in a Central Florida shelter and was “too scared to move or even look at anyone with all the noises around her” according to shelter staff. Poodle and Pooch Rescue of Florida (PPR) knew they had to save this 11-year-old girl from such a stressful environment.
Once with PPR, Tasha was placed in their Saving Seniors care track, which includes extensive bloodwork geared toward diagnosing conditions prevalent in senior dogs. Tasha was found to have some treatable issues, such as a skin infection, skin masses, mats in her fur, a bladder infection and arthritis. She got all the treatment she needed to feel better. She also received a dental cleaning and her remaining teeth were found to all be in good shape.
Tasha immediately went into a loving foster home and the difference in her was dramatic. She became less fearful and anxious and she began to put on weight. It didn't take long for her foster family to fall head over heels in love with her and adopt her.
Her new family describes Tasha, now known as Daisie, as a very loving, sweet and good girl. They couldn't be happier and adore their old, fun-loving gal.
