Fifteen years ago, a little girl wished for a hamster—but instead, she got something even better: a tiny Chihuahua puppy named Princess. The two grew up together, inseparable through every stage of life. Now 21, Princess’s devoted owner has done everything she can to keep her best friend healthy, even saving up for a dental procedure. But when Princess was diagnosed with pyometra—a life-threatening infection—she was heartbroken, unsure how she could afford the emergency surgery her senior pup desperately needed.
Thankfully, with the expert care of Animal Fix Clinic and funding from a Grey Muzzle grant, Princess received the lifesaving treatment she needed—no delays, no barriers. Not only did she make a smooth recovery, but her vet team also took care of her dental issues, gave her a nail trim, and even microchipped her. Just two days later, her owner shared the best news: “She’s doing really well... She got up to greet me at the door and is wagging her tail.”
