    How Grey Muzzle Helped
    Medical Expense Grant

Meet Denver! This gentle nine-year-old was surrendered to the shelter, sadly, due to a divorce but now has a new start thanks to Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) and The Grey Muzzle Organization.

When Denver arrived at PAWS, his vet exam revealed multiple lumps on his abdomen needing ultrasound, biopsy and removal. On top of that, he had 15-20 pounds to lose! He went into foster care, dropped enough weight to be a candidate for surgery, and then had a successful mass removal. A biopsy later showed that the masses were benign and Denver now enjoys a clean bill of health.

While in foster care, he stole the heart of foster mom Jocelyn. She was so happy when Denver found a new forever family, but was also sad to see him go. She had this to say: "Denver's adopters are so in love with him and repeatedly share how perfect he is. It was such a privilege to foster this amazing, senior pup. I miss him and his sweet face so much (yep, I cried). But I am so glad he now has another dog to live with and a family that I know will love him a ton."
