Gertrude found her perfect match in 15-year-old Buddy this past June at the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County in Washington state. Gertrude is a lifelong resident of the Western Washington region and even shared a heartwarming story of adopting a puppy from the same shelter more than 60 years ago!
She was incredibly grateful for the opportunity to find her new best friend, at a waived fee, thanks to the generous support of The Grey Muzzle Organization. The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County is a new grantee of Grey Muzzle and will work to waive the adoption fees of at least 100 senior dogs looking for forever homes this year.
