New Smiles Create New Beginnings for Senior Dogs: Summer Smile Campaign and 2023 Calendar Contest
MATCHED Gift Dental Campaign to Improve Senior Dog Smiles
The Grey Muzzle Organization is kicking off the seventh annual Summer Smile campaign with a goal of raising $25,000 by September 8 to support and grow our dental fund. And thanks to the generosity of the Cook Family, the Hunt Family, and the Gordon Family, your gift will be MATCHED! That means your donation has twice the smile power—turning $25,000 into $50,000 - to help senior dogs in desperate need of dental care.
Dental health is critically important to the overall well-being of senior dogs. Sadly, too many never receive dental care, which can lead to severe and painful conditions or even shorten their lifespan. A simple dental cleaning can make a huge impact, improving their quality of life for years to come. With your help, we'll give the priceless gift of smiles to even more senior dogs in need!
2023 Calendar Contest - Say Grey Muzzles are Great!
When giving, don't miss your chance to enter your favorite smiley senior in Grey Muzzle's 2023 Calendar Contest. Simply select a square on our GivingGrid to make a donation and upload a picture of your sweet senior to enter! Our Advisory Board members will choose their favorite photos to be featured in the 2023 Grey Muzzle calendar. A collage of the entire GivingGrid—including all of the pictures submitted—will be featured for December!
A New Beginning (and new smile!) for Spike
All of the funds raised through the Summer Smile campaign build brighter tomorrows by giving new smiles to at-risk senior dogs like Spike. At 10 years old, Spike came into the care of our new grantee, the Humane Society of West Michigan. His teeth had been sorely neglected his entire life, and he desperately needed dental care!
The Humane Society of West Michigan provided the long-overdue care Spike needed to feel better. Within 48 hours of receiving a dental, Spike showed a completely new side of himself, playing with toys and basking in the staff’s attention. Best news of all, he was quickly scooped up into a home of his own! (That's something to smile about!)
A dental grant from Grey Muzzle also allowed the Humane Society of West Michigan to purchase new equipment that makes lengthy dental procedures safer. This upgrade will improve dental care for senior dogs for years to come, and your generosity made it possible!
Whether they have a gapped tooth grin or a classic snaggle-tooth smirk, we invite you to join us in ensuring hundreds of senior dogs get the dental care they need and deserve. Please make a gift today to give hundreds more at-risk older dogs life-changing new smiles!
