If Not Me, Who?
Back in November, Edie Jarolim contacted The Grey Muzzle Organization. Edie is a writer, editor, author (Am I Boring My Dog: And 99 Other Things Every Dog Wishes You Knew) and blogger, whose blog, Will My Dog Hate Me?, deals with the process of saying goodbye to our canine friends.
Edie had just said goodbye to one of the loves of her life, her beloved Frankie, a senior terrier mix. Frankie had Canine Cognitive Dysfunction which made the decision to end his life even more difficult.
Edie wanted to honor Frankie and find a way to give back to help homeless senior dogs get the send off they deserve. She, like us, is horrified at the way many seniors spend their final days scared and confused in a shelter, after a life spent with a family. So, Edie decided to use her talents to help raise money for Forever Fosters. We created "Frankie's Fund" and she promoted, promoted, promoted!
Fast forward to the new year and the final count is in! Through Edie's hard work and generosity of spirit, she was able to raise over $3,000.
Thank you doesn't seem enough, Edie. You made Frankie proud.
