Shep’s Place Senior Dog Sanctuary in Independence, Missouri, is a safe haven for homeless senior dogs in the Kansas City area. We believe that every senior dog deserves to live out their golden years surrounded by love, comfort, and care. Whether we find them a forever home or become their forever home ourselves, our volunteers and facility are devoted to giving these dogs the family they deserve.

Thanks to support from Grey Muzzle, we can continue providing the essential medical care and special nutrition our senior dogs need to thrive. From dental work and arthritis care to heart disease diets and cancer treatment, over half of our annual budget goes toward keeping our dogs healthy and happy. This grant ensures that each senior can fully enjoy life, whether that means playtime, cuddles, or simply relaxing in a place where they are safe and deeply loved.
