The Portland Animal Welfare (PAW) Team provides free veterinary care and pet supplies for families experiencing houselessness or extreme poverty in Portland, Oregon. Thanks to a network of volunteer veterinarians, this grassroots organization has kept countless pets out of shelters and in homes with the people who love them for the past 25 years. PAW Team provides wellness, preventative, and long-term, continued care for chronic conditions. Each year, PAW Team's programs provide veterinary care for over 1,200 families in need.

Grey Muzzle's funding will support the needs of senior pets like 12-year-old Chino, who has a seizure disorder. Chino's person, Jeff, was able to manage the condition for most of Chino's life, but the cost of medications and labwork became too much for his limited income. Sadly, Jeff thought he would have to surrender his closest companion. Thankfully, he found the PAW Team. With Grey Muzzle’s support, Chino receives regular exams, prescription refills, and labwork free of charge, enabling him to live a healthy and happy life for as long as possible.
