Luna Farms Rescue, based in Huntsville, Alabama, is dedicated to creating lasting change in animal welfare by addressing the root causes of pet overpopulation. Through spay/neuter programs, education, and strategic rescue efforts, we work to ensure that every companion animal—regardless of age—has a chance at a safe, loving home. Our vision goes beyond rescue: we’re building a future where every pet is wanted, valued, and protected.

With support from Grey Muzzle, we’re launching Encore Pups, a life-saving program focused on senior dogs at risk of euthanasia in under-resourced rural shelters across the Southeast. This grant helps us provide veterinary care, diagnostics, pain management, and dental treatment, giving senior dogs like Henry and our little Florence survivor the second chance they deserve. Through Encore Pups, we’re not only rescuing lives, but also lifting up communities and ensuring that older dogs are treated with the dignity and love they’ve always deserved.
