Kansas Humane SocietyFunded in 2025
Medical expenses, particularly for chronic conditions like heartworm disease and dental caries, are significant factors leading to the surrender of senior dogs. Grey Muzzle funding funding will strengthen the Kansas Humane Society’s Pet Retention Program, improving outcomes for 30 senior dogs. The program provides senior pet owners with access to heartworm treatment, prevention, and dental care—critical services that help prevent the surrender of senior dogs. By offering this support, KHS aims to keep pets with their families and improve the well-being of senior dogs in the community.
