The Bond BetweenFunded in 2024
The Bond Between focuses on the bond between humans and animals. Since 2009, they have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and community supporters. The organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-class animal well-being organization, providing shelter, veterinary care, and daily care for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. They also support the bonds between people and pets with a pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and social services.
The Grey Muzzle Organization grant will cover medical expenses for senior dogs in The Bond Between’s respite program. This program supports pet owners who would otherwise surrender their animals, remain in dangerous situations, or leave their animals behind. It will help keep senior dogs like 11-year-old Lucy with the people who love them.
