    How Grey Muzzle Helped
    Medical Expense Grant

Sammie was found wandering down the road, in the middle of the night, by a Good Samaritan. Once at the Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County, he was immediately taken to the veterinarian due to the poor state of his skin. The vet team also noticed Sammie was completely blind. They had no idea how long Sammie had been on his own, but they were so relieved that he was now with them instead of roaming outside - alone, blind, and scared.

Thanks to a grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization, this adorable eight-year-old Frenchie received diagnostic testing including bloodwork that helped diagnose and treat him for demodectic mange. The vet team found him an amazing foster home that immediately got him on a bathing schedule and medication. Pretty soon, Sammie’s fur began to grow back and he became so much happier and more comfortable.

This darling senior boy was finally safe and loved and it didn't take long for his foster family to realize they couldn’t give him up. They adopted Sammie and have been keeping him healthy and happy ever since!
