    How Grey Muzzle Helped
    Medical Expense Grant
    Organization

Paisley, a pekingese/ shih-tzu mix, is a feisty senior lady!

Found as a stray, her coat was matted so badly that it pulled on her skin with every step. The crowded local shelter reached out to Young at Heart for help. Upon arrival, Paisley enjoyed a ‘spa day’ thanks to a wonderful groomer who donates her services to Young at Heart. With all of that heavy matted fur shaved off, Paisley was immediately a happier dog, running and hopping and showing her spunk!

Despite her energetic disposition, she wasn’t in the clear yet. During Paisley's veterinary exam, a mammary mass was found. Thanks to a grant from the Grey Muzzle Organization, Paisley's mass was removed and biopsied. Testing revealed that the mass was cancerous, but a surgery successfully removed the tumor. She was given a clean bill of health!

Thanks to the dedicated team at Young at Heart, and your generosity, Paisley is healed and is waiting for her forever home.
