Jill is a darling, eight-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix with a very spunky personality. This active girl came to the Animal Protective Foundation of Schenectady (APF) last fall as a stray.
The APF did an initial medical assessment and found that she wasn't spayed and needed dental work. Thanks to further screening, powered by a Grey Muzzle grant, it was discovered that Jill had a grade 4 heart murmur, meaning there was risk with putting her under anesthesia for her surgeries.
The APF team went to great lengths to safely monitor Jill during her spay and dental surgeries. Thankfully, Jill sailed through her surgeries with no complications. After her tune-up, she felt much better and is now enjoying life with her forever family.
