    How Grey Muzzle Helped

    Organization

Colonel Peanut came to the Sacramento SPCA, a new Grey Muzzle grantee, with congestive heart failure. This common diagnosis in small, senior dogs does not necessarily mean they don't have a good quality of life left.

With the cost of his care covered through their Pawspice program (now supported by a Grey Muzzle grant), Colonel Peanut was adopted into a loving home. He has happily lived lived with his forever family for over a year—far exceeding his life expectancy! Sacramento SPCA hopes to help more dogs like Colonel Peanut over the next year with living their best lives in the loving arms of a forever family.
